KEEP WESLEY SNIPES OUT OF JAIL [PLEASE]

Started messing around with lighting in some of my scenes whilst continuing to work on the ape's fur and textures.  Thought I'd throw them all together in my street scene to see how they look together.

Rasta Final Model Sheet

Decided to change the main character's name from Regan to Rasta.  Going to be working with John Harkins, of the Flying Duchess team, who will be modelling Rasta for me.  Here's Rasta's final model sheet, the one John's model will be based on.

Sperm Tests

A couple wee test shots of for the sperm sequence.  This is still work in progress.

Latest Character Renders - Ape

Been playing about with fur and textures for the ape.  Here be a few of the latest naked and furry/coloured ape models.

Latest Environment Renders

Some early renders of buildings and props for the environment. Working a lot between modelling the environment and texturing/applying fur to the ape character. All of these are still work in progress. Playing about with lighting so might have some light tests in near future.

Pages Fae Ma Holy Bible, Ken

Synopsis

Based loosely on the short story of the pied piper with an added influence of recreation, altered consciousness and reggae vibes. In a world where reality and dream-like awareness mix, Turtle Runs follows the story of a drummer who marches to the sound of his own beat.

Influences

The use of animation and camera flow in the video for N.A.S.A: Tom Waits + Kool Keith, Spacious Thoughts, and the use of typography in Herzog and the Monsters and Typolution are all pieces of work I take inspiration from. The free-flowing movement and splashing of colours in Spacious Thoughts are similar to the results I wish to achieve in my piece. The story telling and narration used in the other pieces mentioned, as well as I Met the Walrus, have techniques closely resembling how I wish the poem in my piece to read.
